This pepper comes from the volcanic penja valley in cameroon. picked when fully ripe, the seeds are crushed to remove the bark before being dried. it is one of the rarest peppers, but also one of the most sought-after. it is mild, very fine and very elegant. it enhances meat and fish with its woody, fragrant notes. like all peppers, it is strongly recommended that you buy it in grain form and grind it yourself before tasting.
